In celebration of #GlobalHandwashingDay,we partnered with Amref Health Africa and the community of Kakuyuni Ward, Malindi Constituency, to mark a milestone in tackling water scarcity in Kilifi County.

As part of this impactful initiative, Danco donated HDPE and PPR pipes along with plumbing fittings to support last-mile water connectivity. These essential materials will benefit over 5,000 residents of Gaji village, located in Kavunyalalo, Magarini Sub-county, Kilifi County, where a significant handover recently took place.

The donated infrastructure will ensure clean water is delivered directly from the source to farms and households, bringing it within one kilometer of the community. This significantly reduces the daily burden of long-distance water collection especially for women and girls.

This Public–Private Partnership combines Danco’s technical infrastructure expertise, manufacturing of quality pipes and fittings with Amref’s leadership in community health, creating a scalable model for other regions facing similar water challenges.

The project is expected to be completed by December 2025.
